Bon`s Off Broadway in Vancouver

Been going here for over 20 years since I was a kid & it’s barely changed! Great casual spot for super affordable eats. Don’t expect to be waited on hand & foot here, water & coffee is self serve. Can’t beat the east Van vibe tho.

Great basic breakfast but don't get the fruit cup- while the fruit was technically still good, it was slimey and pretty gross. Everything else was great though!!!

Yummy! A bit of a wait , but well worth it after along walk in rain! Get special!

Always have loved this place, fantastic vibe and the graffiti on the wall just tops it all off. They have a couple of Vegetarian and maybe 1 or 2 Vegan friendly options. Their hashbrowns are the BEST in town, and have bottomless coffee-- can't complain!Right now during COVID times they are offering Dine in, and definitely maintaining proper social distancing and sanitation throughout! Felt comfy and safe while eating there.

They observe proper social distancing throughout the waiting line and inside the dining area. Servers are professional and courteous and provide great service with a smile under their masks. If you dont know this restaurant well they serve a all day breakfast for $2.95 and it has to the best bargain in town.

Books is a very warm and welcoming place. Prices are great. Me and my girl eat here every single weekend and have not been let down even once. Thank you for your amazing service and hospitality. Great place for a tasty and filling breakfast all day long and at a unbelievably cheap price. 👍👍

Classic breakfast special best value in the city. This no frills breakfast joint offers a delicious classic breaky and a million other options that most people never try. Can't go wrong, don't judge this book by it's cover. There's a lot of "nostalgia"

There is an Asian guy, screaming all the time with the most annoying voice you will ever hear. Food is cheap, you get what you pay for. It also takes a long time. It’s alright, I was hungry but I am never coming back.

Ever been somewhere where they encourage u to write on their walls and tables etc???? Who doesnt love this place. Its busier then any restaurant I have ever been to service is always super fast these people don’t mess around with our time. The workers are friendly and they’re not stingy on portions. Hearty and healthy... and only a few dollars.

Well worth the money. Great staff. Portions are huge and reasonably priced. This place gets really busy during peak times. Decor results in a lot of interesting discussion. Definitely going back. Remember that Vancouver has banned styrofoam, so bring your own take out containers otherwise 50c each.

Bon's is open again! Best diner in town. $2.95 breakfast special all day. They are 100% Covid-19 compliant, clean and safe. Come see a living legend in Vancouver, the place has so much history. Support the places you love or they can't stay in business 😊

This little restaurant did not disappoint. Fast service, good food, friendly staff and funky decor. Oh, and sooooo affordable.

2.95$ breakfast lived up to its reputation! Big portions and great atmosphere ftw!

This place used to be great, but I went last week and it was terrible ! The potatoes were burnt on one side and the bacon option for breakfast will cost you 5.99 instead of 2.99 as advertised . They tell you none of this while you order . Plus the bacon was sooooo over cooked that when you bit into a piece , it crumbled into bacon bits. There was no moisture left in it at all. Some may like it like that , but not me.

Very basic traditional breakfast. But the price is to die for. Only 2.95? The artwork is fun. Not everyone's cup of tea. A lot of hippies come here. Very friendly staff. The onion rings are a must.

Best greasy spoon breakfast joint around. Bring a jiffy marker with you as it is completely acceptable to write your name on the wall. Almost any wall including in the bathrooms. $2.95 for breakfast is a screaming deal in this day and age. The staff there is super casual and very laid back. No need to wait for a server to grab your coffee or water, just help yourself. Their coffee is always nice and strong. Saturday and Sunday mornings are quite busy there. But even with a full restaurant and a lineup for seating, you can still manage to get a seat in a short amount of time. Did I mention there's a jukebox? It's as though time forgot this place. It's so 90's. I love Bon's.

Very good greasy spoon. You can't go wrong with a quick bite to eat and lots of graffiti on the wall. This place has character, I mean, apart from the graffiti, you can serve your own slightly burnt coffee and enjoy the sights and sounds of local life. The quintessential breakfast place. Its greasy, loud but none the less comforting and enjoyable.

Funny as hell, nice retro experience, very welcoming.. I asked for a 2oz ranch and the waiter smacks a bottle of ranch "HERES your 2oz ranch" lol! Loved it

For the large portions and $2.95 breakfast special, you really can't beat this place. The vibe is low-key and, in the warmer months, there's a small patio area. These kinds of places are increasingly rare in both Vancouver and beyond. Worth checking out!

Love this place. It's a locals spot. Looks scetchy but it's got hart and a good price range. Bring a marker and write your name on the wall to let people know you where there.

This is hands down my favorite breakfast place !! Me and my boyfriend drive from Surrey just to have breakfast dates at this gem. Great food, great coffee, great service, the family that owns it is incredibly nice and how fun is it that you can write on the walls? OH AND DID I MENTION THE BREAKFAST SPECIAL IS $3 ....for all these reasons and more we love the place and so you can see why it was the first place we ventured to now that covid restrictions have been lifted a little and i must say they did a great job - everything from the plexi to the end of table service and one way restaurant walking made us feel safe and like the proper precautions were being taken . So bring a pen, your appetite, and a love for one off places and go check out Bons ! you will not regret it ( Also remember to tip $ amount not % because your bill will so little and the servers work hard )

I recently moved to Vancouver so a lot of people recommended this place to me. I went there and waited in line for around 25-30 min. I ordered the famous breakfest and coffee. It was 5.75$ and I really enjoyed it. It was some delicious breakfest and coffee was superb. One of the best and cheapest places to eat. The service was very good and the covid protection is good. I will go back again to have that amazing breakfest. What a place!

Honestly, the breakfast deal is unbeatable! The price is unbelievable given the portion they give! The place has its charm. Be warn that they didn't have a lot of servers, this means that if you're looking for top notch service, it's not a place you should go. Takes a bit of time before you can put an order in. It gets really busy on the weekends so you'll find yourself waiting alot. As for everything else, I like the fact that it feels like a Mom and pops kind of place with a twist of hipsters. The two Asian guys that work there are always chill and nice.

Bon's Is my life. Cosy, friendly staff. Value for money and delicious. All round excellent times.

Bon's Off Broadway is an unassuming restaurant on Nanaimo Street. This all day breakfast place caters to anyone who needs a hearty meal on the cheap.I gave them five stars not so much for the quality of the food (although the closed Denver sandwich was tasty) but on the fact that they have been providing a selfless service for the community since 1996. That's how long it's been since they started offering the $3 breakfast with generous portion sizes. It need not be said that this greatly helps those who are limited on funds.So I urge everyone to check this place out and donate towards their good cause.

Wasn't crazy busy when we got there. Near the end of our meal, it got REALLY busy. Best be there before 10:30 on a Saturday/Sunday. Before the night before's partiers wake and need a greasy breakfast to cure a hangover.

Friendly staff. Their $2.95 Breakfast is great anytime of day. They split the sausages and grill them... Lots of real nice chunky Hashbrowns and perfectly poached eggs...One of the few places that gives you Peanut butter from a Jar on request..Other meals are equally tasty, reasonable priced and good quantity of food..Had liver and onions special that was fantastic..

Servers have an attitude, food was super disappointing for the price you are paying. Even McDonald's would've been a better choice. Super overpriced for the quality of environment, food, and drinks you get. They don't even serve you water, you get it yourself from a grungy bar, and if you want ice in your water, you can help yourself from a bucket sitting in room temperature. Definitely not coming back here.

You just can't beat the price the food is something you could easily cook at home but the service was good and food was fast so if your hungover for 3$ well worth it! Highly recommended coming here!

Love the breakfast special for $2.95. Large portion and tastes delicious. The staff are awesome and very chill. The walls are covered in posters and autographs of all the customers. Very busy in the morning especially Saturday after a night out drinking. But definitely worth the 20 min wait for a table.

The usual from a favorite cheap breakfast location. $2.95 breakfast which you can supplement with extras if needed and just a downright interesting spot to sit for a meal. The inside is now completely covered in movie paraphernalia and graffiti. This place seems to be always hopping. Food is good, coffee is as well. Staff are not always long on conversation as they are moving continuously trying to male sure everyone is looked after. Looking for cheap eats in an interesting locale? This is one. Looking for highbrow society and fine dining? Look elsewhere, that said, I have enjoyed every meal I have had here though.

This is an institution. A staple in East Van, you must come here at least once if you live in the Lower Mainland. I went for the famous $3 breakfast, and it's heftier than I expected. Good size portion, great tasting food! It's got great character and it shows on the walls from the countless number of customers that have visited over the years. Don't forget to bring a sharpie! Not recommended for anyone looking for a fancy, yuppie breakfast spot, this is character and hole-in-the-wall at its finest. Thanks for the great experience! Will come back.
